Who says you can’t have waffles on a low-carb diet?! That’s right, you can! I make these Almond Flour Waffles on occasion and usually on the weekends when I have more time to enjoy myself. Depending on how thick you like your waffles will determine the amount of cream or water you’ll add. I use 1/2 cup cream and 1/2 cup of water. 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2-1 cup of heavy cream or water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Dash of cinnamon
Directions
Some people do their wet and dry ingredients separate but I just throw it all in together. I’m a rebel like that. 😉
- In a large bowl combine all your ingredients together until smooth
- Preheat waffle maker and add non-stick spray (I use Pam)
- Add the mixture to your waffle maker once it’s ready
- Cook until golden brown
** I top mine with butter and Sugar Free Log Cabin syrup. These waffles are super filling so I would suggest freezing the other to enjoy later. 🙂
